My Plans For Building an 82-Acre Ant Conservation Park | "Antopia Park"

32 000 Weergaven 496K

Welcome to Antopia Park! I'm building a huge 82-acre nature park, which I intend to open to the public and to tourists. In this video, I discuss my plans for launching such a large-scale operation, ask for your feedback and help to make certain decisions, as well as give you a sample "Antopia Park Tour" experience. Come join me as we venture into the wilderness and explore the amazing world of ants, and hopefully make some epic discoveries along the way. Ant love forever! This video was shot in 4K Ultra HD resolution.

I LOVE VIDEOS!!! ALSO I THINK INSTEAD OF JUST A WEAVER ANT HOTEL YOU SHOULD HAVE A WEAVER ANT SHOP , A WEAVER ANT RESTAURANT AND MORE.... !!! AN ENTIRE WEAVER ANT COMMUNITY !!! WHICH IS ECO FRIENDLY PS. I know it is called ant park but with so much space it would be way better to have an entire ecosystem with alot of animals LIKE LIONS AND ELEPHANTS just a thought. thanks

I know I'm a bit late on the comment, but I believe the true value of the park would probably be education. You could hold classes on various topics related to ants in the anthouse and prepare people for the tour with a bit of scientific knowledge to make it more interesting. (Depending on what colonies you have at the time, they could serve as a good educational model). During the tour the visitors would then have the opportunity to observe these things in the wild and learn more about the interconnectedness of the habitat. At the end they could then chow down on a fun little cockroach and superworm snack to experience the true ant-life.

I would have to be so incredibly hungry in order to eat bugs! Just not gonna happen. lol I like the idea of having groups of people booking visits and have a tour guide so that their activities can be monitored. I think I would allow scientists and avid ant keepers, that understand the need to keep the environment pristine, the freedom to move about the properties without a guide. I would let the general public visit the smaller property and only scientists and avid keepers, who have been cleared, to visit the larger property.

I have one suggestion. Build ramps and walkways a few inches of the ground, that way you keep the habitat undisturbed AND you allow wheelchairs on your tours (wheelchairs can roll on gravel, so it needs to be hard surfaces). I’m disabled myself and I would support your park the best I can if it’s wheelchair accessible. ❤️ What do you think of this idea? The treehouses can also be accessible for wheelchairs if there is a ramp up to one of the rooms/treehouses. Please listen to my advice.🙏🏻 Also ant colonies are the perfect pets for disabled people since it’s maintenance doesn’t require heavy lifting etc. Also it is perfect to put on a table for viewing!!

i think dat opening such a big place is bad voor de nature. because there is always people that throw plastic and cans al over the place, but the pro is that people would learn to be more carefull of de nature around them and al the fascinating creatures that live there. another pro is dat you can find more species :)

Especially since your main attraction is insects which are hard to spot and limited in view ability a “zoo” may be a better option commercially

    3. Cooper Ochsenbein
      Cooper Ochsenbein
      2 maanden geleden

You would likely want to turn site A into a zoo more so then a safari park if you were to go the on sight living route and it would likely limit the viability of the environment to sustain larger species that others may be interested in such as the mammals, reptiles, and birds

    4. Cooper Ochsenbein
      Cooper Ochsenbein
      2 maanden geleden

Also I believe your housing arrangement idea within the park is poor as people produce a lot of waste just by living on site as well as maintenance

I do think you're pushing this way beyond practicality, with such a niche market. It will just be a trail park for the locals in the end of the day, with special places for ant enthusiast. Just be careful about listening to people saying "yes I would love that, and or Id definitely visit..." ....

It would work. Wouldn't be able to charge as much as you're probably expecting, so it would take a while to profit. If that's not what you're after and simply want to educate the world as well as it being something you obviously love, then go for it! Swell idea! I love seeing people following through with rare ideas that most of those with the finances would turn thier nose up at.. simply because it wouldn't make them richer. You've grown a lot within a small fraction of time and as long as you keep your passion, you'll succeed either way. If anything fails, you'll still have the land to protect what you love. Ideas will come and go. Keep your channel steady, invest well, and stay focused. It'll either fail or be successful enough for you to be worth it all. Do what you love, chase your dreams and be weary of those that'll try to profit off of your success. That's all the advise I have for now. Good luck and I'd love to see antopia park some day!

I absolutely love this idea and if you were to go about it correctly would be absolutely amazing and originally I was skeptical because buildings around might be harmful to the wildlife but the way you explain it actually sounds great and an idea I had was the “hotel” thing you were talking about if you were to make slightly bigger ones and place them around in a certain tree or wherever they would be and have small local-ish shops that was kinda like a storing place for the smaller inventory of food and drinks as there might be only few people at a time at your park. Also I love your channel I found it a few days ago and am hooked it gives me a nice idea of what ant keeping is like and if two weeks ago you were to ask me if I would ever try out ant keeping I would say no but now sometime in the far future (as I’m just a kid and has a family who would be opposed to it) I would try it out with an easier to take care of species that I could see what it’s like and learn the thing without killing them, thank you!
